The Undoctrines

Five things worth unlearning.

The Undoctrines are the guideposts beneath everything The UnDoctor teaches, the principles I have watched hold true across more than 30,000 conversations. You do not have to adopt them. Just try them on, and notice what becomes possible.

“RESET is the map. The Moss Method is the daily practice. And the Undoctrines are the compass. Together they point to one truth: healing is human.”

The Principles

The five Undoctrines

Undoctrine One

There may be nothing wrong with you.

So much of what we are taught to call illness is a normal, human response to a genuinely hard life. Anxiety, sadness, restlessness, these are often signals rather than defects, messages that something in your world is asking for attention. When you stop treating your pain as proof that you are broken, it stops being a life sentence and becomes information you can actually use. You may be far more whole than anyone ever told you.

Undoctrine Two

You are the healer you have been looking for.

No one is coming to fix you, because you were never broken machinery in the first place. The capacity to move through your own suffering already lives inside you, and most of what helps is simply remembering that it is there. A good guide does not hand you healing, they help you trust what you already carry. The moment you stop outsourcing your wholeness is the moment real change begins.

Undoctrine Three

Healing comes from human connection.

Connection is the medicine. Not as a metaphor, but as something I have watched restore people tens of thousands of times: a person comes back to life in the presence of another human who truly sees them. What most people are missing is not a prescription but contact, to be heard, met, and known without being managed. Find the people who let you be fully human, and protect those relationships like your life depends on them, because in a real way it does.

Undoctrine Four

The system is not designed to heal you.

Modern mental health care too often labels, medicates, and manages rather than understands. This is not a conspiracy, it is simply what the system was built and paid to do, and good people work inside it every day. But seeing its design clearly frees you from waiting for it to save you, and from believing that its verdict is the final truth about who you are. Use what genuinely helps, question what does not, and never mistake a billing code for your identity.

Undoctrine Five

You do not need a license to heal.

Healing is human, not the private property of professionals. A friend who listens without rushing to fix, a moment of honest conversation, a hand on a shoulder, these can do what no form or prescription ever could. You already hold everything you need to be a source of healing for the people around you, and they hold it for you. That is the whole invitation: you do not need permission to truly show up for another person, so go be the medicine.

The whole message

There may be nothing wrong with you.

There may never have been. The Undoctrines are where the book begins. Begin here.
